SEATTLE – Police are looking for an armed robber with bad teeth, a goatee and stringy hair who jumped into a man’s car as he was driving through Volunteer Park and got away with the victim’s cash.
Seattle Police Detective Jeff Kappel said the incident happened Saturday at about 12:30 p.m.
A preliminary investigation found that a Renton man was driving through the park when a stranger waved him down.
When the victim stopped his car to see what the stranger wanted, the stranger opened the passenger door and got into the car.
The suspect then pulled out a black revolver and robbed the victim of his cash. the suspect then got out of the car and fled through the park on foot.
Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect, who remains at large. the victim was not injured.
The suspect is described as a thin-built white male in his 30s, about six feet tall, with stringy brown hair, a goatee, bad teeth and wearing a green shirt and baseball cap. the suspect produced the handgun from a brown, woven shoulder bag.
